In order to utilize the full tracking capabilities of your TrackR, it is essential to keep your TrackR app running in the background of your phone at all times with your Bluetooth on. That way, in the event that your item is beyond Bluetooth range, the TrackR app will display this location as the 'Last Seen Location' of your item - accompanied by the date and time. You can then return to this location by pressing the 'Last Seen' banner. Once you return to this location, you will be able to reconnect to your TrackR, ring it, and recover your item.
This is why it is vitally important to let your TrackR app run in the background of your phone and keep your Bluetooth turned on. This will ensure that the location you were separated from your item is accurate and not simply the location you were at when you decided to turn off your Bluetooth or force close your TrackR app.
The 'Last Seen location' is one the most practical features built into the TrackR app. It can help you recover an item that you accidentally dropped or left behind. Typically, our valuables are left at places we frequently visit, like our place of work, school, a friend or relatives house, and simply checking the 'Last Seen location' provides the peace of mind that the item is safe at a place we commonly visit. You can then choose to recover the item then or wait until you revisit that location. If you happened to lose an item in an unknown location, then simply tap the 'Last Seen" banner and you will receive direction back to your item.
